Quote of the Day

Do not let your fire go out, spark by irreplaceable spark in the hopeless swamps of the not-quite, the not-yet, and the not-at-all.
Do not let the hero in your soul perish in lonely frustration for the life you deserved and have never been able to reach.
The world you desire can be won.
It exists.. it is real.. it is possible.. it’s yours.

– Ayn Rand

7 for Seven

I opened the newspaper this morning to read the gruesome news that a father killed his two children – ages 2 years old and 10 months old – and then himself. Worse start to the day and week! What possesses a father to kill his child – far less his two babies? I pray that those babies find peace.

Today more than ever, I needed some positive vibes. We take so much for granted everyday. I hope you take some time to just slow down and acknowledge all the blessings in your life. Be thankful for life. Appreciate your loved ones.

…every Monday, we post seven positives from the previous seven days of the week as a reminder of what we have so that the week starts out on an upswing. There is much truth in the belief that happy people attract good things, so it is important to start the week out right. Sometimes it’s the more grand, but other times, it’s the simple things.

7 for Seven originated at Key + Arrow and I think being thankful for all the goodness in my life has been the best way to start my week. So much so Mondays are becoming one of my favourite days of the week. I love reminding myself how much I have to be thankful for.

So here are my 7 positives for this week:

7 for Seven week 15

My hope is that by turning my focus to all that I have to be grateful for at the start of my work week, by sowing my own seeds of faith and gratitude, I can carry with me and reap the rewards of “positivity + balance + bliss” throughout the days ahead. Here’s to good health and being able to breathe!

Can you believe it? We’re already 7 days into April – no joke!

Where did the time go right? I still cannot believe that I have been doing this 7 for Seven series for more than three months already. But I am so happy that I started it.
