Weekly Photo Challenge: Roy G. Biv – STREET ART EDITION

I am finally sharing some of the amazing street art I was able to capture during my Loud In London trip back in April. Today’s photo challenge Roy G. Biv is the perfect opportunity to share some of the memories of my trip.

Roy G. Biv is an acronym made of the first letters of the seven colors of the rainbow: Red. Orange. Yellow. Green. Blue. Indigo. Violet. Street Artists use all the colours of the rainbow to express their creativity in the most amazing ways. I hope you enjoy today’s photos as much as I enjoyed exploring Bristol and Brick Lane, London to capture them.

Weekly Photo Challenge: Street Life part III {the finale}

This is my final submission for Street Life.

Below is the view of Wrightson Road, part of our busy Port, the water taxis which connects north and south and the Hyatt Regency from my office window. This is as downtown as it gets. And yes, this is my view every day. I am truly blessed.

Below is a view of South Quay which leads to Wrightson Road on a Sunday morning – this morning actually. It was a ghost town. And that’s my office building in the distance.

This challenge caused me to be more aware of the names of the streets I encounter on my way to work. I noticed this original street sign. I have passed this way for a number of years and only noticed this today.

Weekly Photo Challenge: Street Life part II

Funeral Procession

For part II of my photo series on Street Life I am using this shot of a funeral procession which caused us to be stuck in traffic for a while. In times of mourning, the whole village comes out in support of the grieving family.

You can check out Part I in this series here.
