Weekly Photo Challenge: Street Life part III {the finale}

This is my final submission for Street Life.

Below is the view of Wrightson Road, part of our busy Port, the water taxis which connects north and south and the Hyatt Regency from my office window. This is as downtown as it gets. And yes, this is my view every day. I am truly blessed.

Below is a view of South Quay which leads to Wrightson Road on a Sunday morning – this morning actually. It was a ghost town. And that’s my office building in the distance.

This challenge caused me to be more aware of the names of the streets I encounter on my way to work. I noticed this original street sign. I have passed this way for a number of years and only noticed this today.

Weekly Photo Challenge: Street Life part II

Funeral Procession

For part II of my photo series on Street Life I am using this shot of a funeral procession which caused us to be stuck in traffic for a while. In times of mourning, the whole village comes out in support of the grieving family.

You can check out Part I in this series here.

I’ve decided to do a photo series for this week’s theme: Street Life. And I’m starting with one of my favourite elements of Caribbean life: The coconut vendor!

Weekly Photo Challenge: Reflections

This is my favourite place in Tobago. It’s located at Fort Granby. Here I am sitting on a rock that juts out into the ocean and for me it is the most peaceful place I’ve found on this earth to date. It where I do my best reflecting!

The photo was taken by my friend Lucy and you can check out more of her work here.
