7 for Seven

Happy Monday Everybody! Can you believe that we are into the last quarter of 2014? I am already planning my vacation for next year…sheesh! Where did the time go?

As September winds down and the word busy starts to take on the twinkle of Christmas lights, I am reminded of all that I have to be thankful for.

…every Monday, we post seven positives from the previous seven days of the week as a reminder of what we have so that the week starts out on an upswing. There is much truth in the belief that happy people attract good things, so it is important to start the week out right. Sometimes it’s the more grand, but other times, it’s the simple things.~ Key + Arrow

7 for Seven originated at Key + Arrow and here are my short and sweet 7 positives for this week:

Here and now. I am grateful for this present moment. I’m grateful for learning patience and how not to rush Divine timing.

Good Food. TT Restaurant Week ended last night. It has been a week of really good food and I cannot wait to go through my photos and share the experience.

Great company. I spent Restaurant Week with some fantastically awesome people and it was simply ah-mazing the connections you can make over a great dinner.

My brother-in-law. My BiL was totally down for Restaurant Week and even when I was sad that it was ending and insisted that we do dinner on the final night…he was game!

TIRAMISU!!! Now you all KNOW how I feel about this particular manna from Heaven, and for Restaurant Week, I was able to have it twice in four days! *pats tummy*

Beautiful things. I have been crushing on local artist Rachel Rochford’s jewelry for a while. Last Tuesday, while at dinner with a friend who was wearing a couple of her beautiful pieces, I mentioned how much I wanted a few pieces of my own. Lo and behold on Saturday, I attended a charity event put on by the Soroptimists of Newtown and Rachel herself was in attendance with a lovely display of her jewelry. I left with a ring (which I have been wearing since) and a promise to purchase more.

Green smoothies. I. Love. Kale.

Denzil. Yes. I am thankful for Denzil Washington. At almost 60, this man is still one fine piece of chocolate. Pauletta is sooo lucky. And if you haven’t seen The Equalizer as yet. Don’t stick. Go see it.

My hope is that by turning my focus to all that I have to be grateful for at the start of my work week, by sowing my own seeds of faith and gratitude, I can carry with me and reap the rewards of “positivity + balance + bliss” throughout the days ahead.

If you’re reading this, this is me blowing some glitter and confetti on you because you’re super blessed to have received the gift of another 86,400 seconds today, to spend any way you desire. What made you happy today? What are you grateful for? I would love to hear from you.
