Yvette, when I saw this video, I too was appalled by the number of children who don’t live to age five because of something as simple as washing hands with soap.

Well this topic also stirs up something else for me – like the overkill that is on the other end of this spectrum – because some people over do it – and they use harsh antibacterial soaps which are just overkill – and they are making people toxic and resistant to antibiotics – and they say that some people are using such a strong soap 5 x a day – that they are over sterilizing their hands – I can see this need for surgeons to use such chemicals – but yikes – they say the very simple hand soaps are enough – it is just a matter of having the soap stay on long enough – and they tell kids to sing a song while washing,.
anyhow, there are also the food handlers that do not wash at all or they wash improperly – and sometimes when I see someone leaving the ladies room without going to the sink I will (gently) say something about washing the hands – without being rude of course.

what a great awareness video – and the message is powerful –
and so sad about how many kids die under the age of 5….and that it can be prevented with hand washing!!
